2010 #Hireme Campaign
In preparation of graduating with her Master's degree in the spring of 2010, Mandi developed her #hireme campaign, which took place across a variety of social media platforms.
Ultimately, Mandi never misses an opportunity...
Mandi first posted a series of tweets on the social media platform, Twitter, entitled, "101 Reasons Why You Should #hireme." For those who missed the tweets, she took screenshots and used Animoto to publish them in a series of 4 videos on YouTube. Part I, Part II, Part III, and Part IV.
Flickr
To showcase her skills in Adobe Photoshop, Mandi created a series of images that incorporated her #hireme campaign at Wisconsin landmarks. She then uploaded the photos to a Flickr set, compiled them into an animated slideshow, and promoted them via YouTube and Twitter.
Prezi
To impress employers with her creativity and technological skill, Mandi created an interactive cover letter using Prezi. The "prezume" was a huge success, and continues to be a major crowd pleaser with hiring managers, company VPs, and fellow job seekers.
YouTube
It's easy for a job seeker to toot his or her own horn, and Mandi set out to offer hiring managers more by creating animated slideshows of recommendations by her peers, former associates, and references. She posted professional recommendations and evaluations by her students on YouTube in an effort to give employers one more tool to show that she's the one they should hire.
Animoto
Mandi utilized Animoto for several of her #hireme campaign projects, and she also used the photo slideshow service to share the encouragement she received by peers and social media professionals for all of her efforts.
Capzles
To keep track of all her #hireme efforts, Mandi explored the timeline capabilities of Capzles. She imported her multimedia and created moments for her social media efforts. The timeline also provided a way for hiring managers to see all pieces at once.
